On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer arrived in the 90 Block of Landrey Dr. Vincennes, IN and arrested Amber Ann Willis, 32, of Vincennes, IN on two outstanding Knox County Superior II Court Failure to Appear warrants; one for Driving While Suspended and one for Criminal Conversion, both class A misdemeanors. Willis is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

DETAILS: Arrested: Johnny L Vantlin 46 Y/O/M Hazelton Indiana

Charges: Possession of precursors w/ intent to manufacture methamphetamine w/ firearm- C felony

Possession of meth w/ firearm- C felony

Possession of firearm by convicted felon- C felony

Possession of a controlled substance – D felony

Possession of paraphernalia- A misdemeanor

On 2/8/14 at about 12:35 AM, a Vincennes Police Officer on routine patrol made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by the above subject for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the above subject was in possession of a firearm, methamphetamine and items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. The above subject was transported to the Knox County Jail where he is being held pending bond.

ARRESTED: Darius S Gordon age 23 from Indianapolis

DETAILS: Officers responded to 405 E Scott in reference to a loud party call. Upon arrival Officers made contact with Mr. Gordon who refused to quite down. He was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement and Possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Knox Co jail and booked in on the above charges.

On the above date and time, Officers arrived at Vanderburgh Hall on the VincennesUniversity campus and arrested wanted person, Shalonda N. Ellis, 18, of South Bend, IN on an outstanding Knox County Superior II Court Failure to Appear warrant from an original charge of Minor Consumption of Alcohol, a class C misdemeanor. Ellis is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

Conspiracy to Manufacturing Methamphetamine B-felony

On 2/1/14 at approx. 1:28 AM VPD Officers were investigating subjects acting suspicious in a vehicle near 6th and Minneapolis. When the driver fled the Officers in the vehicle he was driving. A small chase took place. The vehicle was abandoned near Belle Ave. and College Ave, the Driver bailed out. Officers from VPD, KnoxCounty sheriffs department, Indiana State Police searched the area for the suspect. The suspect driver was located approx. 2 blocks away from where the vehicle was abandoned.

A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle. Items were found in the vehicle that is commonly used to manufacture Methamphetamine. After the investigation, the driver of the suspicious vehicle was found to be George p Weiss. He was lodged in the Knox county jail under the above listed charges; bond and court date are pending.

DETAILS: Arrested: Thomas G. Lewis, Jr.

Charge: Body Attachment for Child Support in the amount of $14,003.27.

Officer Halter went to the home of Lewis and placed him under arrest for the above warrant. Lewis was transported to the Knox County Jail and booked in.

Charge: Warrant Failure to Appear for Public Intoxication

: Possession of Marijuana

Officer Halter observed Stewart walking and was aware that he was wanted out of KnoxCounty. He placed him under arrest and located suspected Marijuana in his possession.

He was then transported to the Knox County Jail and booked in.

DETAILS: Arrested: Elaine Mandrell, 49 y/o, Vincennes

Officer were dispatched to a residence in reference to a suspicious person around the house. Officers located Mandrell and she was found to be wanted out of VanderburghCounty for a Failure To Appear Warrant for original charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of controlled substance, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

She was taken to the Knox County Jail and booked in.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Theft of Moped

ARRESTED: Derick L Clark age 19 from WashingtonIN

DETAILS: Officers observed a male pushing a moped at 2nd & Main. Officers attempted to stop and talk with the male when he dropped the moped and began to flee. Officers were able to stop Mr. Clark near 2nd & Busseron. Mr. Clark was placed under arrest For Resisting law Enforcement, It was later determined that the moped had just been stolen in the 500 Block of Willow. Mr. Clark was then transported to the Knox Co jail and booked in for theft and Resisting law enforcement.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Reckless Driving

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, Knox County Central Dispatch advised of a reckless driver in a tan Chevrolet utility on US 41 S/US 50 W Vincennes, IN. Prior to Officers arriving in the area, the utility crashed into a guardrail in the area. The driver, Garry William Newberry, 58, of Oaktown, IN was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. Newberry is being held in the Knox County Jail on $5000 bond.
