ARRESTED: Ashley Brooke Ewer 20YO Bruceville, IN

CHARGE: Theft – D Felony

On Sunday, May 11, 2014 at about 5:10 PM officers responded to Wal-Mart at 650 Kimmell Rd in reference to a Shoplifter. Officer arrived at the scene and made contact with loss the prevention employee from Wal-mart.

Officer conducted an initial investigation and concluded that Ashley Ewer attempted to take $130.00 worth of merchandise without paying for the merchandise. Ashley Ewer was taken into custody and lodged at the Knox County Jail on the Theft charges.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Suspicious Person

ARRESTED: David E. McKinley 51YO Vincennes, IN

CHARGE: Possession of Marijuana

On Sunday, May 11, 2014 at about 4:15 PM officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn area at 602 Old Wheatland Rd reference to a person not suppose to be on the property and that the person was harassing an employee.

Officers arrived and Capt Hagen made contact with the complainants, as Ptl Halter made contact with David McKinley by the Old Wheatland Rd. Management of the Quality Inn advised they had warned David McKinley to leave the property, but he would NOT leave until the police was called.

Ptl Halter advised that David McKinley had marijuana in his possession and that David McKinley was under arrest. David McKinley was transported to the Knox County Jail and lodged on possession of marijuana.

For Dealing in Methamphetamine, Poss of Meth, & False Informing

On Friday, May 9th, 2014 at about 7:10 PM officers advised of a wanted person in the area of 8th & College. Gregory Tapley was located and picked up on the warrant and transported to the Knox County Jail.

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, Vincennes Police Officers arrived at a residence in the 800 Block of Emison Ave. Vincennes, IN and arrested 33 year old Robert Allen Dolkey of Bicknell, IN on an outstanding Knox County Superior Court I Probation Violation warrant for Burglary, a class B felony. Dolkey is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Intimidation

DETAILS:

Arrested: Robert A Thomas, W/M/30, Vincennes In

Charge: Intimidation-Felony

VPD Officers investigated a report of a possible theft of services. A cab driver advised that he was intimidated by Mr. Thomas. He had picked Thomas up to transport him to his home. After Thomas got in to the vehicle with a female. Thomas began telling the driver he had a gun and wasn’t going to pay the 20 dollar fare for the ride. Thomas then started ordering the driver which way to go and, turn. The driver felt something pressed against his back. The ride ended near 15th and Hart. Upon checking the area the suspect was located a block away. Thomas was taken to the Knox county jail, and lodged for Intimidation. However the charge of theft will also be long formed.

Arrested: Kent E Shirley, VincennesIN , W/M/50

Charge: Theft

VPD was called to 650 Kimmel Rd reference to attempted theft of a TV from Walmart. Upon investigation of the complaint, Officers were checking the surrounding area. The suspect was detained approx. 2 blocks away.

Mr. Shirley was transported to the Knox county Jail, and there he was lodged for theft.

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer located, at Building 5 Autumn Ridge Ln. Vincennes, IN, Quinn Mariah Bakke, 27, of Vincennes, IN and arrested her for an outstanding Knox County Superior II Court Contempt Warrant. Bakke was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bakke was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor. Bakke is being held in the Knox County Jail on $908.20 bond.
