ARRESTED: Horacio G Moralez age 25 from Mexico

DETAILS: Officers responded to 617 N 2nd in regards to a sex offense. Officers located Mr. Moralez at the scene. He was placed under arrest for Child Molestation and transported to the Knox Co jail. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

On the above stated date and time, Vincennes Police Officers arrested 20 year old Seth R. Chanley of Vincennes, IN at a residence in the 1300 Block of Nicholas St. Chanley was arrested for a Knox County Superior II Court Warrant for a Probation Violation. Chanley is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Suspicious

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department responded to 808 Carbon Street in reference to a suspicious activity complaint. Upon arriving Officers identified the subjects at the residence. Brandon T. Leal, 30, Vincennes, was found to be at that residence. Mr. Leal was placed under arrest in connection with a weapons offense that occurred at 1031 Washington Ave, Vincennes, on 05/27/14. Mr. Leal was booked into the KnoxCountyLawEnforcementCenter under the charges of C felony criminal recklessness, C felony battery by means of a deadly weapon, and D felony criminal mischief.

At 12;49 AM VPD received a complaint reference to loud Music and People slamming doors. Upon arrival a strong odor of what was believed to be Marijuana was coming from the suspected apartment. VPD obtained a search warrant for the suspect apartment. While searching the apartment Meth, and marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was located inside the apartment. From interviews and evidence, the above listed suspects were arrested, for the charge or charges listed accordingly. All the suspects were transported to the Knox county jail and lodged for their charges, Bond and court date are pending.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Drug Investigation

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had been observed traveling 51 miles per hour in a thirty mile per hour zone. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle officers detected the distinct odor of burnt marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of Trae M. Harris, 19, Indianapolis, and Darius Gordon, 23, Indianapolis. Both subjects were charged with possession of marijuana, and maintaining a common nuisance. Harris, the driver of the vehicle, was also issued a citation for speeding.

The Officer arrested Merydith for a Knox County Superior II Court Warrant for Failure to Appear. Merydith is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.
