Arrested: Kent E Shirley, VincennesIN , W/M/50

Charge: Theft

VPD was called to 650 Kimmel Rd reference to attempted theft of a TV from Walmart. Upon investigation of the complaint, Officers were checking the surrounding area. The suspect was detained approx. 2 blocks away.

Mr. Shirley was transported to the Knox county Jail, and there he was lodged for theft.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Wanted Person/Drugs

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer located, at Building 5 Autumn Ridge Ln. Vincennes, IN, Quinn Mariah Bakke, 27, of Vincennes, IN and arrested her for an outstanding Knox County Superior II Court Contempt Warrant. Bakke was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bakke was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor. Bakke is being held in the Knox County Jail on $908.20 bond.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Domestic Battery

ARRESTED: Jonathan R. Brewer 36YO Vincennes, IN

CHARGE: Domestic Battery

On Saturday, 05-03-14 at about 6:36 PM officers dispatched to the area of 10th & Vigo in reference to a man hitting a woman. Officers arrived on the scene and secured the scene. Officers conducted an initial investigation questioning witnesses and the victim. Conclusions were that Jon Brewer had committed battery by knocking the victim to the ground.

Jonathan R. Brewer was arrested for Domestic Battery and transported to the KnoxCounty and lodged.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Military – Absent Without Official Leave

APREHENDED: SPC/E-4 Eric M. Jones 33YO Vincennes, IN

CHARGE: Warrant – AWOL – US Army National Guard

On Saturday, 05-03-2014 in the afternoon officers were advised and given written notice by a US Army National Guard Unit of a service member that was AWOL (Absent Without Official Leave). The service member was located in Vincennes.

Eric Jones was apprehended, processed at the Knox County Jail and released back to the Army NG unit for process at the unit under UCMJ, Uniform Code of Military Justice.

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer located wanted person Timothy Matthew Demoura, 26, of Vincennes, IN at a residence in the 700 Block of Perry St. Vincennes, IN. Demoura was arrested on a Knox County Superior II Court Failure to Appear warrant. Demoura is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Domestic Battery

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department received a complaint of a battery that had occurred in the 200 block of South 15th Street. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim. The suspect, Paul Andrew Siddall fled the scene on foot, however was located in the area of 11th and Busseron. Siddall was charged with D felony domestic battery and was lodged at the KnoxCountyLawEnforcementCenter.
