NATURE OF INCIDENT: Suspicious

DETAILS: Officer of the Vincennes Police Department responded to a report of two suspicious males in the area of the storage units at Cullop and Beret. Officers were advised that the males were walking away from the units with backpacks and bicycles. Officer made contact with the two males in the area. Howard T. Young, 48, Vincennes was found to have a probation violation warrant through KnoxCounty. During a search Mr. Young was found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well as paraphernalia. Chadrick A Royal, 43, Vincennes, was found to be in possession of a stolen bicycle that had been previously reported to the Vincenens Police Department. Both men were arrested and transported to the KnoxCountyLawEnforcementCenter.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Traffic Stop/Drug Investigation

DETAILS: Officers with the Vincennes Police Department were alerted to a reckless driver traveling at a high rate of speed on US 41 Southbound. Officers observed the vehicle and effected a traffic stop. Matthew J. Osborne, 32, Washington IN was issued citations for driving while suspended, and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance, Knox County Sherriff Department assisted with a walk around on the vehicle with a K-9 unit. The K-9 unit indicated the presence of a controlled substance. A subsequent search resulted in Mr. Osborne being arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Robbery/Drug Investigation

DETAILS: Officers with the Vincennes Police Department responded to a request for assistance from the Vincennes University Police Department regarding a robbery that had just occurred. During the course of the investigation two men were arrested. Dylon D. Collins, 19, Gary IN, and Chinoya B Phiri, 19, IndianapolisIN. Mr. Collins was charged with Robbery, Possession of Marijuana, Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of a firearm with obliterated serial numbers, possession of alcohol by a minor and maintaining a common nuisance. Mr. Phiri was charged with visiting a common nuisance.

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department responded to WalMart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Officers identified the suspect as Dylon D. Collins, 19, Gary IN, Mr. Collins was issued a citation for conversion and was arrested for minor possession of alcohol.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Shoplifting/Criminal Trespass

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department responded to a shoplifting complaint at WalMart. Officers identified Laura Michelle Davis, 26, Vincennes, as the suspect. Ms. Davis was also found to have been trespassed from WalMart properties in 2010. Ms. Davis was issued a citation for conversion, and was arrested for the criminal trespass.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Sex Offense

DETAILS:

On the above stated date and time, the Vincennes Police Department received information about the identity of a suspect related to a sex offense that the Vincennes Police Detective and Patrol Divisions had been investigating from July 2014. The incident occurred at a business on Willow St. in which a male exposed his genitals to a juvenile female. An Officer made contact with the suspect, 50 year old Thomas Allen Kinkade of Edwardsport, IN, and after an investigation and interview conducted at the Vincennes Police Department, the Officer arrested Kinkade for Solicitation of a Child Less than (14) Years Old, a level 5 felony Kinkade is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond.

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Oldsmobile Cutlass being driven by Ambrea K. Groves, 23, of Vincennes, IN. Groves was found to be a suspended-prior driver through Indiana and was arrested for Driving While Suspended-Prior. Groves was also cited for No Proof of Financial Responsibility, Improper Display of a Registration Plate, and False Registration Plate-Plate from Another Vehicle. Groves is being held in the Knox County Jail on $4000 bond.

Swartzel Ave. Walton was arrested for an outstanding Knox County Superior II Court Warrant for Failure to Appear on Driving While Suspended charges. Walton is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond pending court appearance.

DETAILS: Mr. Collins was located at the Men’s work release and was found to have a warrant out of Knox Co for Probation Violation. Mr. Collins was placed under arrest and transported to the Knox co jail and booked in on the warrant.

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer observed wanted person Donnie G. Cato Jr., 31, of Vincennes, IN walk into the Vincennes Police Department lobby. The Officer took Cato into custody for an outstanding Lawrence County, IL Bond Violation Warrant on Driving While Suspended charges. Cato is being held in the Knox County Jail pending extradition to Lawrence County, IL.
