On Thursday, April 10, 2014 at about 5:56 PM officers arrived at Wal-Mart to make contact with loss prevention employee, who had detained two individuals that had attempted to take over $279.00 worth of Wal-Mart merchandise without paying for the merchandise. Initial investigation confirmed that there was probable cause to believe that an attempted theft had occurred by both Jordan Ford & Alisha Hardin. Both were transported to the KnoxCounty jail and lodged on the charge of Theft. During the booking process at the jail, Jordan Ford was found to have in her possession some marijuana and an additional charge was added to Jordan Ford.

DETAILS:

On the above date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Jeep Liberty in the 500 Block of Busseron St. Vincennes, IN. Arrested was the driver, Nicole M. Russell, 41, of Vincennes, IN for Driving While Suspended-Prior, a class A misdemeanor. Russell is being held in the Knox County Jail on $4000 bond.

On Wednesday, April 09, 2014 at about 2:51 PM employees of Wal-Mart contact the police advising of a shoplifter that had fled the area. The suspect was located in the area of the Veterans Drive & Prospect and apprehended. Further investigation found that Stacy Chambers had in his possession a schedule IV drug.

At the booking at the Knox County Jail, Stacy Chambers had an identification card of another person and had used the I.D. card of another person to obtain pseudoephedrine, in which Stacy Chambers signed another person’s name for the purchase.

On the above date and time, Vincennes Police Officers received a report of a driver “passed out” behind the wheel of a gray passenger car in the 1000 Block of N. 9th St. Vincennes, IN. An Officer located the vehicle and arrested 26 year old Timothy M. Demoura of Vincennes, IN for Driving While Suspended-Prior, a class A misdemeanor. Demoura is being held in the Knox County Jail on $4000 bond. Demoura was found to not be intoxicated, but had fallen asleep while waiting for a passing train.

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Traffic Stop/Drug Investigation

DETAILS: Officers of the Vincennes Police Department received information that a male suspected of driving while suspended was observed in the area of the 600 block of Busseron operating a gray 2006 Chrysler 300. Officers confirmed through the Indiana bureau of motor vehicles that the male was a suspended driver and initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of North 8th Street. The driver, Zachary J. Carter, 25, Vincennes, was arrested for driving while suspended prior. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to impound a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was located in the vehicle. Mr. Carter was also charged with possession of marijuana at that time.

ARRESTED: Carlos V Rodriguez Jr age 23 from Florida

DETAILS: Mr. Rodriguez was stopped at 15 1/2 and College for a traffic Violation. Mr. Rodriguez was found to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for DUI refusal and transported to the Hospital for medical clearance. After Cleared he was transported to the Knox Co jail and booked in for the DUI Refusal.

On the above stated date and time, a Vincennes Police Officer observed wanted person Michael Collier Osborne, 31, of Vincennes, IN at the Hucks Now fuel station in the 2800 Block of N. 6th St.Vincennes, IN. The Officer made contact with Osborne and arrested him on an outstanding Knox County Superior II Court contempt warrant. Osborne is being held in the Knox County Jail on $334 bond.

On the above listed date and time, Vincennes Police Officers arrived at an address in the 100 Block of Bowman Terrace Vincennes, IN 47591 and arrested Christopher Robert Fox, 34, of Vincennes, IN on an outstanding Lawrence County, IL warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Burglary and Driving Under the Influence. Fox is being held in the Knox County Jail pending extradition to Lawrence County, IL.
